DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –
AJ Marinello and
Max Kops registered three hits apiece to lead the Embry-Riddle baseball team to an 8-7 win over Minnesota-Duluth, Thursday at Sliwa Stadium. Marinello was 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI, while Kops went 3-for-4 with two RBI to help the Eagles notch their fifth win in as many games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Second Inning
•
Alex Imposimato led off the second inning with a solo shot to center field.
• UMD starter Joe Herrick issue three straight walks to load the bases.
• Marinello singled to left field to score
Collin Mastromauro and
Dylan Bruno.
• Kops' ground out to second base brought
Elias Campbell across the plate for a 4-0 Eagle lead.
Fourth Inning
• The Bulldogs managed to load the bases.
•
Gunnar Harrison entered the game with one out and set down two hitters via the strikeout to end the threat.
• In the bottom of the inning, Marinello smacked a one-out home run to left center field to increase the Eagle lead to 6-0.
Fifth Inning
• In the top of the fifth Gabe Richardson scored from second on a Troy Lynch single to put the Bulldogs on the board.
Sixth Inning
• Lynch came up big for UMD again in the sixth as he hit a three-RBI triple to help the Bulldogs add four runs to their tally.
• In the bottom of the inning, Kops hit a one-out home run to answer for the Blue and Gold.
• After singling to right field,
Timo Aracena moved up on a single and a wild pitch and scored the Eagles' eighth run on Imposimato's single down the left field line.
Ninth Inning
• After scoring a single run in the eighth, the Bulldogs got another run across in the ninth thanks to an Eagle error.
• UMD had a runner in scoring position, but reliever Joey Balsam struck out the next batter he faced before inducing a flyout to left centerfield to end the game.

The Eagles are back on the diamond at 1 p.m. on Saturday for a home doubleheader against St. Michael's.
