SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 5 women's tennis team faced off against No. 27 Saint Leo on Wednesday afternoon in their fourth conference match of the season. Despite a strong effort, ERAU fell just short, unable to clinch the decisive point, losing 4-3.

Charly Egger and Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo set the tone early at No. 3 doubles, securing a dominant 6-1 win over the Saint Leo pairing of Madelyn Martin and Catherine Rabatin.

Unfortunately, the Eagles were unable to capture the second doubles victory, which allowed Saint Leo to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

ERAU came out strong in singles play, with Franziska Kremerskothen delivering a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 over Rabatin, leveling the overall score at 1-1.

Alessia Tripaldelli put the Eagles ahead with a solid 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 against Martin, making it 2-1 ERAU.

Benedetta Sensi added to the lead, defeating Luzia Obermeier 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3, putting the Eagles just one match away from clinching the win.

However, the Eagles couldn't secure the final point, as tight battles at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 saw all three positions fall. A total of four tiebreaks across seven sets ultimately proved costly for the women in Blue & Gold.
