Softball Stays Close to Lions in Series-Opening Loss

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Softball suffered a narrow 5-4 loss in the series-opening contest against Saint Leo on Friday night. There's been little room for error in Sunshine State Conference play as four of the Eagles' 10 losses against SSC opponents have been by just one run. An RBI-single from Leah Oberkehr evened the score late in the game, but the Lions sent a pitch over the center field fence in the bottom of the sixth to claim the win.
