ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The 12th-ranked Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team returned to the win column on Wednesday, thanks to a 17-12 defeat of No. 12 Flagler on the road. The Eagles had four players with three or more goals and were led by
Ava Rogala who scored a career-high four goals to help the Blue & Gold improve to 5-1 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• Rogala opened the scoring with a free position goal at the 13:04 mark.
•
Callison Foreman doubled the Eagle lead with the first of her three goals just over a minute later.
• Flagler tallied the next two goals to tie the game, but Foreman and
Eliana Enners scored inside the last three and a half minutes to put ERAU up 4-2 at the end of the first.
Second Quarter
• An even second quarter resulted in three goals for each side.
• Both teams traded goals until
Jordan Davis registered an assist and a goal in just over a minute to give the Eagles a 6-3 advantage.
• Rogala, who also won five draws, made it 7-3 with 5:05 left, but the Saints managed to get two goals back within the last two minutes to close the gap to 7-5 at the half.
Third Quarter
• The Eagles won the third quarter, outscoring the Saints 6-3 in that frame.
• Embry-Riddle had a decisive 7-3 advantage in draw controls in the third.
• The Eagles scored on all four of their free position attempts.
• The Saints were able to tie the score at 7-7 early in the quarter, but the Eagles outscored the home team 6-0 in the last 6:46 of the period to take a 13-8 lead into the final 15 minutes.
Fourth Quarter
• Flagler won the first draw of the fourth, but it was Rogala who got the first goal to increase the Eagle lead to 14-8 with 12:55 left to play.
• The Saints scored twice in the next two and a half minutes to narrow the Eagle lead to 14-10.
• The final 9:09 of the game saw Eagles edge the Saints 3-2 to close out the scoring.
