DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle cheerleading team closed out competition at the NCA Nationals held at the Ocean Center on Friday. After receiving a raw score of 79.3 in the preliminary round on Thursday and the Eagles closed out the final day of competition with an event score of 83.7222 to place 10th overall.
The final score combined the point totals from the prelims and finals. The prelim performance is worth 25 percent while the final routine made up the other 75 percent of a team's event score.
LIndenwood posted a raw score of 84.8 to win the golden megaphone, while Saginaw Valley State (83.5667) and Texas-Permian Basin (81.433) rounded out the top three.
