WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's tennis team was up early Saturday morning for a tough Sunshine State Conference semifinal matchup against top-seeded Barry. The Eagles showed grit and determination but ultimately fell short, 4-1, sending them into the third-place playoff.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Eagles earned a 6-3 doubles win from the pair Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo and Wilson Igbinovia as they took on Yan Kodjoed and Riccardo Trione, but the Eagles were unable to pick up the doubles point.
• In singles, Enrico Rosellini delivered a standout performance at the No. 2 spot, upsetting the nation's No. 68 player, Gabriele Felline, to earn a point for the Eagles (6-1, 6-4).
• Joshua Nuyts and Igbinovia pushed their matches to three sets, but losses at positions 4, 5, and 6 allowed Barry to clinch the match.
