HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Eagles came out aggressive, winning the first game in all three doubles matches, but ultimately dropped the doubles point with losses at the No. 1 and 3 spots.
  • Looking to regroup in singles, ERAU showed flashes of their regular season resilience.
  • Benedetta Sensi dominated the baseline early, taking the first set 6-2. Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo and Franziska Kremerskothen were mounting a come back after narrow 6-4 first-set losses. However, defeats at positions one, two, and six sealed the win for the Sharks and ended the Eagles' final hopes.
