DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team surged to first place at the Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, scoring 272 points, finishing 142.5 points ahead of the second-place finisher. The Eagles won three gold medals throughout the day, supported by a series of top-10 ERAU performances and new PBC meet and ERAU records.
Championship performances:
- 100m Hurdles – Michala Daniels added to her impressive championship resume by securing her first gold of the meet, and fourth medal overall, with a time of 14.84 seconds.
- Discus Throw – Senior Madison Morris delivered a gold-medal-winning throw of 40.67 meters, dominating the field as it was over three meters ahead of second. Freshman Anaya Shrider earned silver with a throw of 37.33 meters, capping a strong debut season.
- Triple Jump – Mikeala Miles stole the spotlight with a leap of 12.87 meters, breaking her own ERAU record, setting a new Peach Belt Championship meet record, and hitting the NCAA Division II provisional standard. Daniels earned bronze with a mark of 10.97 meters.
