LAKELAND, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team suffered its first Sunshine State Conference loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to third-ranked Florida Southern on the road.

First Quarter
• Turnovers hampered the Eagles in the first quarter as they had nine miscues compared to just four turnovers by FSC.
• The Lady Mocs got out to a quick start scoring the first two goals of the game inside the first four minutes of play.

Caitlin Gavin put the Eagles on the board with an unassisted goal at the 10:06 mark.
• After the Lady Moccasins got their third goal, Foreman found
Natalie Jansky for the Eagles' second score of the day.
• The Eagles had an opportunity to add to their tally on a free position attempt but the shot missed the mark and FSC got the final goal of the quarter to lead 4-2.
Second Quarter
• The Lady Mocs owned the second period, outshooting the Eagles 11-2.
• Both teams struggled to take care of the ball with Eagles committing eight turnovers and the Moccasins turning the ball over six times.
• Florida Southern outscored the Eagles 3-1 in the second period with all four goals coming within the last seven minutes.
Third Quarter
• The third quarter saw the teams register three shots on goal apiece.
• The Eagles connected on two of those attempts, while the Moccasins converted on all three shots on frame to extend their lead to 10-5.
Fourth Quarter
• Florida Southern scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter.
• Jansky won the next draw for the Eagles and that led to a free position goal by Reich.
• Just over two minutes later, the Eagles put the ball in the back of the net again, this time from the stick of
Eliana Enners.
• The Eagle defense held Florida Southern to just one goal in the last 9:50, but the offense managed just one more score resulting in the 13-8 final.
