MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The No.4 seed Embry-Riddle women's tennis team season is over as they lost a 4-3 match up to No.5 seed Mississippi College. A five-hour rain delay pushed back the first serve from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This game came down to the final match as the Eagles gave it their all, but it wasn't their day narrowly losing 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mississippi College claimed the doubles point with wins at positions three and one.
- Benedetta Sensi put the Eagles on the board with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory over Katharina Weber at No. 4.
- Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo closed out her collegiate career with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Jules De Mata at No. 2. She finishes her career with 80 singles victories, setting a new school record.
- Laura Cuesta Bret secured the final point for the Eagles, upsetting No. 14 Emma Roberts 6-2, 7-6 (3) at No. 1.
SEASON SNIPPETS
The Eagles ended the season with an overall record of 20-7, including a 7-2 record in Sunshine State Conference play. Under the leadership of Head Coach
Chad Berryhill, the team achieved several historic milestones. ERAU defeated Lynn for the first time in program history with a 4-3 victory, earned a third-place finish at the ITA National Indoor Championships, and took down defending national champions Nova Southeastern.
Individually, Wira Hadipoernomo broke the program's all-time singles wins record and earned SSC All-Conference Second Team honors. Sensi, who went undefeated in conference play, also landed on the All-Conference Second Team, along with
Laura Cuesta Bret and
Carla Cabero del Hierro as a doubles pairing. To top it off for the second year running ERAU won SSC Freshman of the Year honors with
Franziska Kremerskothen and earned an NCAA bid.
