DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Head coach David Gregson and the Embry-Riddle men's soccer program have released their 2025 season schedule. The upcoming campaign features 17 regular season matches, including nine home games, marking the team's most home fixtures in a regular season since 2011.
Three of the Eagles' first eight opponents qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Tournament: Flagler, West Florida, and national champion Lynn.
The 2025 season will kick off on Sept. 5 as Embry-Riddle travels to face Georgia Southwestern. The Eagles last met the Hurricanes on Sept. 8, 2024, in a 2-2 draw in Daytona Beach.
Embry-Riddle continues its early-season road swing with a visit to Flagler on Sept. 9. The Saints are the first of three NCAA Tournament teams the Eagles will face this season. Embry-Riddle will look to avenge a 1-0 home loss in 2024 and secure its first win in St. Augustine since 2013.
The Eagles then return home for a four-match stretch featuring contests against Spring Hill (Sept. 12), West Florida (Sept. 14), Rollins (Sept. 17), and Tampa (Sept. 20). Notable matchups include the program's first meeting with 2024 NCAA qualifier West Florida since 1995, a Youth Night celebration against Rollins, and the start of Sunshine State Conference play against Tampa, where the Eagles will aim for their first program victory over the Spartans.
A two-game SSC road series follows, with visits to Florida Tech on Sept. 27 and 2024 NCAA Division II National Champion Lynn on Oct. 1.
Back in Daytona Beach, Embry-Riddle hosts Barry on Oct. 4 in a bid to build momentum against the 2023 SSC Tournament champions. The Eagles' 2-1 win over the Buccaneers was a historic moment for the 2024 campaign, highlighted by an 11-save performance from then freshman goalkeeper Tommy Fellowes. On Oct. 8, the Eagles will take a break from conference play to host Trinity Baptist in the first-ever meeting between the programs.
The team hits the road again on Oct. 11 for a matchup with Eckerd. Last year's contest against the Tritons saw the Eagles earn a 3-0 victory, highlighted by a goal in the opening 30 seconds and a four-save performance from Fellowes.
Palm Beach Atlantic visits Daytona Beach on Oct. 15 for the final home match before a three-game road stretch. That stretch includes a non-conference contest at Nova Southeastern (Oct. 18), followed by SSC matchups against Saint Leo (Oct. 22) and Rollins (Oct. 25).
Embry-Riddle will close the regular season with two home games: against Florida Southern on Oct. 29, featuring a Halloween Cookout promotion, and Nova Southeastern on Nov. 5.
The top eight teams in the SSC standings will qualify for the SSC Tournament, which will take place Nov. 10–16. The tournament champion earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
All home games and SSC road contests will be streamed live via the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network.
