Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's cross country team left no doubt on Saturday, cruising to its second straight win at the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic with a 37-point margin over Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Tech.

After freshman Taye Newman stole the spotlight at last week's Swan City Classic, it was veteran Nicholas Scarangelli out front for the Eagles this time, placing second overall in 26:06.8. Newman stayed close in 26:22.6, while sophomore Joseph Koraya capped a strong 2-3-4 overall finish for ERAU individuals in 26:40.8.

Henry Friedrichs (27:05.3) continued his consistency as the team's fourth scorer for the second meet in a row, and junior Rylan Malarchick stepped into the top five for the first time this season.

With two freshmen, a sophomore and two juniors leading the charge, the Eagles showed both upside and stability as they look ahead to the heart of the season.
