Women’s Golf Concludes Season-Opening Eckerd Invitational

GULFPORT, Fla. - Embry-Riddle Women's Golf began its 2025-26 season with a 10th-place result at the Eckerd Invitational, finishing 11 shots ahead of Catawba. Senior Loa Johannsson led the way with a 227 to tie for 15th in the field. The Eagles utilized a pair of newcomers as freshmen Ottavia Franzinelli Socini Guelfi and Frances Amat competed in their first collegiate tournament for the Blue and Gold.

"The Pasadena Yacht and Country Club was an amazing test," said Head Coach Maria Lopez. "It's a very special place to play at where legends of the game hone their craft. The wind, the heat and the precise layout gave us great lessons. I'm excited to see how this launches our team forward for the rest of the season."

The field was highly competitive as it featured six top-15 teams according to the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association rankings.

As was the case in each round, Tsouklaris began the day in a solid position by recording pars on six of the first seven holes
Her 12 pars were the most by an Eagle in the third round

Stevie Albright (79-80-79=238) | T-47th

Albright found a rhythm at the start of her round with pars on five of her opening six holes
She posted the lowest round on the team during day two (79)

Ottavia Franzinelli Socini Guelfi (83-80-86=249) | 63rd

This was Franzinelli's first tournament as an Eagle

Gabby Roth (84-85-83=252) | 66th

Roth saved her best for last with an 83 on Tuesday
She earned a birdie on her 11th hole (par 3, 135 yards)

This was Amat's first tournament as an Eagle
She continued to improve throughout the tournament, posting her lowest round on the final day of play
Amat started well by parring her first five holes
