ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The No. 7 Embry-Riddle women's tennis team improved to 2-0 in Sunshine State Conference play Monday with a 6-1 victory over Eckerd.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Embry-Riddle secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Carlota Balseiro and Benedetta Sensi defeated Valentina Bronzetti and Maialen Idiakez, while Mariana Cabrera and Ashley Moinard topped Fiona Orza and Laura Ullrich.
- At No. 3 singles, Daniela Fernandez Junquera was first off the court with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Idiakez.
- Sensi extended the lead to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Bronzetti at No. 2 singles.
- After Eckerd picked up a point, Balseiro earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ullrich at No. 4 singles to secure the team victory.
- The Eagles added two more singles wins to close the match. At No. 5, Moinard rallied past Catherine Cole, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0. At No. 6, Franziska Kremerskothen defeated Soleia Rutter, 6-3, 6-0.
- Kremerskothen remains undefeated in 2026 in both singles and doubles, improving to 5-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles. She has posted a 66-7 overall game record this season.
