DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After an even first inning, a three-run home run in the second proved to be the difference as Embry-Riddle was held scoreless over the final eight innings. The Eagles could not find an answer for Middle Georgia's hot bats, making five pitching changes in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Inning
- A leadoff walk, a single and a sacrifice fly produced the game's first run for the Knights. Mikal Ashley recorded the first hit, and Teonis Pimental scored.
- In the bottom half, Collin Mastromauro singled to center and advanced to second on a pickoff error. Malachi Pena followed with a double to center, driving in the Eagles' lone run.
Second Inning
- A Seve Fernandez double and a Luke Davis walk set up Pimental's three-run home run to right field, extending the Knights' lead to 4-1.
- For the Blue and Gold, Max McClusky doubled down the left-field line but was left stranded.
Fourth Inning
- A two-hit inning led to another run for Middle Georgia.
- Derek Lopez doubled down the left-field line for Embry-Riddle but was left on base.
Fifth Inning
- Ashley continued his strong performance with a solo home run, accounting for the inning's only run.
- The Eagles recorded a hit and a walk but were unable to capitalize, allowing the deficit to grow to 6-1.
Eighth Inning
- Three more hits resulted in another three-run inning for Middle Georgia. Luke Davis, Justin Aponte and Ashley all reached base during the rally.
Ninth Inning
- Aiken Santana and Kellen Brown opened the bottom of the ninth with singles up the middle, but both were left stranded as the game ended.
