HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
  • Embry-Riddle earned two free position shots in the opening five minutes of the game but after a pair of saves from the Trojans, the game remained goalless.
  • Following a green card to the Eagles, Anderson found the opening goal through Ava Skeffington on a free position shot with 9:11 left to play.
  • ERAU generated several early chances, including a third free-position attempt that was saved, before Anderson pushed its lead to 2–0 with under five minutes remaining in the period.
  • After controlling back-to-back draws, the Blue and Gold would get both goals back within 90 seconds. Their first of the game came when Caitlin Gavin scored off of an assist from Ava Rogala
  • The game was tied at 2-2 following a goal from Jordan Davis after Callison Foreman found Davis cutting in front of the goal with 2:56 remaining.
  • Anderson regained the lead late in the quarter on a goal assisted by Skeffington, who recorded two points in the period.
  • Each team took seven shots in an evenly matched opening quarter, with the Eagles holding a small advantage in the draw controls, 3-2.
Second Quarter
  • The defenses continued to dictate the game at the start of the second quarter, seeing the first six possessions of the quarter end in a turnover.
  • Embry-Riddle would take a quick timeout following that sequence, and took control of the rest of the game from there. Natalie Jansky leveled the game at three goals apiece after an assist from Aubrey Schmidt with 9:30 remaining until halftime.
  • Ashley Albert won the ensuing draw and put the Eagles in front moments later, scoring with 8:13 remaining in the period. ERAU would lead the game for the rest of the afternoon.
  • The Blue and Gold were given a non-releasable yellow card in the final four minutes of the half, but less than 30 seconds into the penalty kill, Embry-Riddle forced a turnover on a clear. Jordan Davis quickly capitalized by putting the Eagles ahead 5-3.
  • Ella-Rae Cox made five saves in the second quarter, including three in the final five minutes, seeing ERAU become the first team to keep the Trojans scoreless in a quarter this season.
Third Quarter
  • Embry-Riddle controlled the second half, outshooting Anderson, 17-6, due to the domination on the draws. ERAU won the draws 10-0 after the break, while simultaneously remaining perfect on their clears.
  • Released from her penalty, Foreman came back and found the back of the net in the first minute of the quarter. Jansky earned the assist, extending her streak of recording both a goal and an assist in every game this season.
  • A goal from the Trojans was immediately answered by Eliana Enners as she capitalized on a free position opportunity on the ensuing possession. The Eagles finished with four goals from the eight-meter in the second half.
  • A yellow card to the Trojans proved to be costly after Albert scored her second goal of the day to put the Blue and Gold ahead 8-4. She has been perfect this season, scoring eight goals on eight total shots.
  • Along with tying a career-high of four assists, Foreman grabbed her second goal of the quarter on another free position attempt. Her goal with 5:31 remaining marked the final score of the period and extended ERAU's lead to 9-4.
Fourth Quarter
  • Anderson opened the fourth quarter with a goal to cut the deficit to 9-5 with 12:44 remaining, ending a drought where the Trojans managed just one goal across the second and third quarters.
  • Enners and Albert both completed their hat tricks in the following minutes, with the comeback bid quickly shutdown once Embry-Riddle made the score 11-5 and less than 10 minutes left. This was the first hat trick of Albert's career.
  • Aubrey Schmidt and Leah Coletti added their first goals of the afternoon within 90 seconds of each other, extending the Blue and Gold's advantage to eight.
  • The Trojans' scoring ended when they got a final man-up goal by Ellie Wilkins with 2:28 left to play.
  • RJ Ensor made it back-to-back games with a goal when she scored Embry-Riddle's 14th of the game, before ERAU grabbed two more goals in the final minute of the game to finish off their 16-6 win.
