DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team confidently secured its eighth consecutive Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field title. A combination of depth and event victories propelled the Blue and Gold to a 182-point victory.
Highlight Performances
- Hailey Bruce and Leah Bartlett had their best day of the season, finishing first and second in the shot put with throws of 42.96m and 38.14m, respectively. The mark was a season best for Bruce and a personal best for Bartlett.
- Embry-Riddle swept the top four spots in the pole vault. Kailey Ludwig and Anna Engelman led the group, both clearing 3.60m, while Leilani Spruill and Cheyenne Wetch both cleared 3.45m.
- Anaya Shrider threw a personal best of 48.78m in the hammer throw, the fourth-furthest mark in program history, to claim the PBC title. Along with her PBC title, Shrider placed second in the discus with a throw of 39.49m.
- Mikaela Miles, Alexia Kubic and Engelman were stellar in the horizontal jumps. Miles won both the triple jump and long jump with marks of 12.54m and 5.98m, respectively. Kubic finished second in the long jump and third in the triple jump, while Engelman was second in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump.
- Jade Nayap was crowned PBC champion in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.
- Emily Tubbs earned her first PBC title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a season best of 11:15.29.
- Alexandra Baltazar Hall won the shot put by a full meter, throwing 12.74m to claim the event. She followed that up with a second win in the discus, throwing 46.90m. Baltazar-Hall was named the Athlete of the Year, the Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year and the Freshman Field Athlete of the Year.
- Michala Daniels won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.49 and added a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters, finishing just behind teammate Olivia Worrell.
- Taylor Roth and Laura McBride went first and second in the 800 meters with times of 2:09.96 and 2:10.94, respectively.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Roth, Allegra Triner, Liora C. Best and McBride came from behind to win the event in 3:52.04, just 0.03 seconds ahead of Clayton State.
