DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- College Sports Communicators announced honors earlier this month, as four members of the Embry-Riddle baseball team were selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

The CSC Academic program recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a cumulative 3.50 GPA and compete in 90 percent of an institution's competitions or start in 66 percent of the games. The criteria slightly differs for pitchers, as they must have made 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.

Cole Bullen earned a spot on his first Academic All-District Team. Bullen boasts a 3.903 cumulative GPA, earning a perfect 4.0 in the spring.

Senior pitcher Cole Turner made 21 appearances with the Eagles this season, posting a 3.667 GPA in the spring.

Derek Lopez, the junior transfer out of Daytona State College, received his first recognition on the CSC All-District Team with a cumulative GPA of 3.5, starting 31 games.

Bailey Russell holds a 3.803 GPA, along with a perfect 4.0 in the spring, catapulting him into his first CSC Academic All-District Team selection.
