AUGUSTA, N.J. -- Right-handed pitcher and former Embry-Riddle Eagle Tristan Harley signed with the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League. Harley officially signed with the Miners on June 30, following a season with the Blue and Gold that saw four wins across five starts and 20 appearances, which included a career-high and team-high 83 strikeouts.

The Tallahassee native has already seen action on the diamond as a professional, pitching in his first game just eight days following his signing and earning his first win as a pro. The Sussex County Miners defeated the Lake Erie Crushers, 3-1, on July 8. It was an impressive start to his career, as he led all pitchers in the game in innings pitched (6), strikeouts (5) and ERA (1.74).

Since his first start, Harley once again saw six innings of action on July 17, striking out three with a stellar 1.10 ERA against the Brockton Rox. Through two games, Harley seems to be finding his groove early in his professional career.

The Miners currently sit third in the East Division with a 28-30 record and 38 games remaining on the season.
