JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Embry-Riddle placed second in the men's 5k at Cecil Field Golf Course with 62 points, a total time of 1:15:47 and an average time of 15:09.
Taye Newman won the race in 14:42.1, and
Nicholas Scarangelli placed second in 14:57.7 to give Embry-Riddle the top two individual finishers.
Newman finished first in the 5k with a time of 14:42.1 and a score of 1. Scarangelli placed second in 14:57.7 with a score of 2.
Joseph Koraya added a 15th-place finish in 15:13.6, while
Henry Friedrichs placed 17th in 15:16.6. The last Eagle to record points was
Elijah Wiggins who placed 31st in 15:37.35.
It was a familiar top five for the Blue and Gold as all five scorers were members of the 2025 NCAA National Championship qualifying squad, however freshman
Luke Secrest found his way into the top seven, placing 37th overall and sixth for Embry-Riddle in 15:44.1
