Webber International's Thiago Marion 6-1, 6-3 in the first round and St.
Thomas' Jeremy Bache 6-1, 6-0 in the second to move on to the quarterfinals of
the ITA Florida Regional (Oct. 2-4) where he fell to teammate Istvan Bolgar
6-4, 6-0...walked away from the Auburn Fall Classic with a 2-1 record after
topping Auburn's Alex Jorne 6-3, 6-4 and South Carolina's Harry Menzies 6-4 7-6
(4)...teamed up with David Spenarre for a 2-3 doubles record... defeated Webber
International's Tyler Heath and Philippe Andermatt 8-6 to advance to the ITA
Regional semifinals (Oct. 3).
As A Freshman in 2008-09: Joined the line-up in the spring
semester...went 14-3 in singles, playing most of his matches at the No. 6 spot...posted
a 3-0 conference record...owned a nine-match unbeaten streak from Mar. 16 - May
14...registered back-to-back shutouts against Northwood's Josh Eqas (Mar. 28) and
Warner's Kyle Mahlan (Mar. 30)...also blanked Webber International's Reyne
Hospeddes 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals of The Sun Conference tournament...scored
the clincher over Savannah College of Art and Design's Mihai Draganescu 6-1,
6-0 to send the Eagles to the NAIA National Championship semifinals (May
14)...unbeaten in the three doubles matches he played... teamed up with Charlie
Rice for an 8-3 win over Oklahoma Baptist's Scott Milner and Mitch Frank (Mar.
18), and an 8-0 win over Eqas and Alex Archuleta (Mar. 28).
Prep: 2005 graduate of Hymers College...played No. 3 singles
for his school's senior team as a seventh grader...named team captain and
played No. 1 singles as a freshman...captained the team to a third place finish
at nationals, as well as area, regional and district titles...also led Hymers
to the North of England Championship...played for the YPI and David Lloyd men's
club programs.
