Team Specific Nutrition Education:
Coaches have the opportunity to have Stacey come out and work with their team on general nutrition or specific topics related to hydration, carbohydrates, protein, breakfast, recovery, and snacks.
One-on-One Individual Nutrition Meetings:
Throughout each semester,  one-on-one meetings with Stacey, our sports dietitian is available. Nutrition meetings are Monday through Wednesday based on availabilities. Interested student-athletes would have to obtain a referral from Sports Med. The one-on-one meetings last one hour. The meetings can take place in person at Health Services or virtual via Teams. During these meetings, the athlete, can receive individualized meal plans, recipes, handouts, and helpful information for whatever goal they are striving to hit.
E-Resources:
There are numerous resources our athletes have access to. For our on-campus athletes, the Microwave Cookbook is a great way to get real food cooked in the dorm room. Eating Before Excercise is a quick guide to best things to eat before practices, while Eating for Recovery is great for after practices/games. For travel days, Eating on the Road is a good guide. Protein is huge for athletes to intake, so the handout for Protein Content of Foods is always good to have. For those who are big into protein shakes, the Protein Shakes recipe guide is full of easy shake ideas.
