After guiding the program as a head coach from 1990-95, Annamarie Garcia returned to Embry-Riddle Cheerleading as an assistant coach in 2017.
Garcia was a member of the Eagles’ inaugural cheer squad in 1988. She cheered for the Eagles for two seasons and was one of the team’s co-captains in 1989-90. Embry-Riddle cheerleading saw growth during Garcia’s tenure as head coach and featured at the NAIA Division Men’s Basketball national tournaments in 1992 and 1993.
Garcia has worked at Embry-Riddle since 1995 in a variety of capacities, including Flight Academic Administration Coordinator, Financial Aid Counselor and Assistant Director of Loans and Verification. She is currently the Associate Director of Financial Aid for Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide campus.
Garcia is an Embry-Riddle alumnus who earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication in 2003 and a Master of Science in Leadership in 2014.
