Kyle Lefebvre was named to the Embry-Riddle basketball coaching staff in July, 2008.

"We are extremely excited about having Kyle on our coaching staff," Ridder said. " He was an outstanding high school and collegiate player. His knowledge of the game and overall work ethic will be valuable to our team. He is a very intelligent and focused person, which will allow him to be a positive influence on our student-athletes. He is a natural leader and will be an outstanding coach for our program."

Lefebvre is no stranger to the area, as the South Daytona native played high school basketball at Atlantic High School for Head Coach Doug Shott. Lefebvre led the sharks to the District Championship in 2002, earning first team All-Area honors along the way.

Upon graduation from high school, Lefebvre moved to LaGrange College in Georgia where he played three seasons with the Panthers. He shot 89.7 percent from the free throw line to lead the team in that category as a sophomore, and in 23 starts as a junior, he averaged 5.2 points and 2.04 assists in 20.7 minutes per game.

Lefebvre is quite familiar with the Eagles' system as not only did he play against the Blue and Gold while at LaGrange, but he also worked a number of Ridder's basketball camps.

Lefebvre graduated from LaGrange with a degree in Biology in 2006 and, after graduation, he spent two years teaching Biology, Geometry and Algebra in the Volusia County School system.
