RIDDER REFLECTS: “Denny will have a similar role as last year, whether he starts or comes off the bench is still unknown. He is just high-energy and plays at a very fast pace. He is a fan energizer who gets everybody excited and gives you phenomenal effort every time he steps on the floor. We are asking him to take on a different level of defensive assignment because he is so strong physically and has good quick feet.”
2005-06: Started 18 of 34 games, but assumed his customary sixth-man role midway through the season...team’s third leading scorer averaging 10.4 points in 18.8 minutes...recorded a season-high 22 points in 22 minutes against Florida College on Nov. 8...registered 21 points and 11 rebounds against Webber International on Jan. 25...fourth on team in field goal percentage (.469)...scored in double figures in 16 games including five straight games from Nov. 12 to Dec. 2...second on the team in steals (32) after leading the squad the past two seasons...tied for fourth on the team in rebouding (3.9 rpg)...improved his discipline and composure on the defensive end of the floor fouling out of just three games compared to nine in 2004-05.
2004-05: The sixth-man sparkplug ended the year once again as the teams second-leading scorer (14.5 ppg) and finished second in the FSC in field goal percentage (.545)...recorded a career-high seven steals vs. Florida College (Nov. 9)...was 11-for-12 from the field vs. Lyndon State (Vt.) (Nov. 5)...scored a season-high 26 vs. Elmhurst (Ill.) on Nov. 24...averaged four rebounds, but more impressively for his size (1.3 offensive boards per contest)...recorded season-high eight rebounds against St. Francis (Ill.) on Jan. 8 and at SCAD on Jan. 29...led the team in steals for the second consecutive year (52) and was All-FSC for second time...after only attempting four three-point shots in 2003-04, registered not only 19 threes, but hit 44.2 percent of his 43 attempts.
2003-04: The Eagles’ sixth-man finished second on the team in scoring (13.8 ppg) appearing in all 31 contests and became the first Embry-Riddle freshman to earn All-American honors...added 4.3 rebounds, shot a team-best 53.6 percent from the field and led ERAU with 54 steals...posted double-figure efforts in 23 contests and posted a career-high 31 points vs. Florida Memorial (Feb. 11)...also posted 28 points vs. Mary Washington (Dec. 31)...third ERAU player to claim FSC Freshman of the Year joining Gary Wilborn (2002-03) and fellow Boone grad and ERAU standout Harold Pierson (1999-00).
High School: Joseph came to the program after a successful career at Boone High School in Orlando...Joseph was ranked as one of the Top 100 players in Florida, earned honorable-mention All-State and first-team All-County.
