Fall 2007: Rated the No. 1 singles player in the ITA preseason poll...ranked second in doubles with Konstantin Lazarov...named one of seven Embry-Riddle Champions of Character Scholarship winners for 2007-08...awarded the 2007-08 Steve & Vicky Ridder scholarship...won the individual crown at the Embry-Riddle Invitational...won the ITA Florida Region title for the third year in a row...won an unprecedented third ITA/NAIA National Championship with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Victor Sanakaipapi from Auburn-Montgomery (Oct. 11)...won the ITA National Small College “Super Bowl” title for an unprecedented third year in a row with a 6-3, 6-4 defeat of Concordia's (N.Y.) Alex Grubin (Oct. 12), earning a wild card entry into the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships...suffered a tough first-round loss to Ohio State’s Justin Kronauge ...avenged a 2006 loss to Ivan Puchkarov with a 7-6 (7), 7-5 (3) win over the Oklahoma State senior to advance to the quarterfinals of the consolation round.

As A Junior in 2006-07:
Posted a 29-1 overall record at No. 1 singles...went wire-to-wire ranked No. 1 in the ITA rankings...ITA first team All-America selection...named the Florida Sun Conference and NAIA Region XIV Player of the Year for the second year in a row...ESPN The Magazine first team Academic All-American...NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete...Academic All-Conference...recipient of the NAIA’s A.O. Duer Award...selected as the recipient of the Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship...undefeated in dual match play at 16-0, which included a 5-0 league record...ended the season on a 16-match winning streak...went 23-3 on the year with Konstantin Lazarov as his doubles partner...Hizak and Lazarov were ranked as the No. 1 doubles pair in the country according to the final ITA poll. Fall 2006: Recipient of an ERAU Champions of Character Scholarship...won his first 14 games and closed out the fall season at 14-1...captured the Flight "A" singles title at the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational with a 7-6 (3), 6-2 win over NCAA II Lynn's Lorenzo Cava...took home his second straight ITA regional and national crowns...became the first men's player in the 21-year ITA National Small College Championship history to repeat as "Super Bowl" Champion...also took home the tournament's James O'Hara Sargent Sportsmanship Award, becoming the first player to win both the "Super Bowl" title and the sportsmanship award...knocked out NCAA I Radford's Martin Sayer (6-3, 6-3) in the first round of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships...suffered his only loss of the year to Oklahoma State's Ivan Puchkarov (4-6, 3-6) in the second round of the national tournament...teamed up with Lazarov to go 7-2 in doubles action...duo captured the ITA regional and ITA Small College National titles...only losses were to Florida Southern's Knoedler and Thesleff (9-8 (4)) in the finals of the C.L. Varner tournament and to Lynn's Riegraf and Carszuaa in the ITA "Super Bowl"...tabbed the No. 1 doubles team in the nation according to the ITA's fall rankings.

As A Sophomore in 2005-06: Compiled a 26-3 record at No. 1 singles and finished the year at No. 1 in the ITA rankings... ITA All-American...first team NAIA All-American...Florida Sun Conference and NAIA Region XIV Player of the Year...ESPN The Magazine third team Academic All-America selection...Academic All-Conference...went 13-1 in dual matches and was undefeated at 4-0 in league play...strung together 12 straight victories between Feb. 5 and Apr. 8...was 7-2 when paired with Matt Lukaszewicz and 7-3 with Konstantin Lazarov in doubles play...Hizak and Lukaszewicz recorded an 8-4 win over Flagler (Mar. 3) in their only conference doubles match...Hizak and Lazarov posted a 3-0 doubles record in conference play and were No. 4 in the final ITA rankings...Fall 2005: Notched 13 wins and only two losses that came from two three set matches with NCAA Division I players in the fall...won the ERAU Invitational gold bracket singles...won the ITA Regional Tournament men's singles championship...captured the ITA National Small College Men's Singles Championship to earn a spot in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships for NCAA DI schools...registered a two-set upset over top seed and two-time defending champion Ryler DeHeart of the University of Illinois in the first round...also defeated Notre Dame's
Parbhu Shiva to advance to the quarterfinals where he fell to Stanford's KC Corkery in three sets (4-6, 7-5, 4-6)... teamed up with Konstantin Lazarov in doubles to win the ERAU Invitational and the ITA Regional Championship...the pair also finished third in the ITA National Small College Championship.

As A Freshman in 2004-05: Finished his freshman campaign undefeated at 20-0...ended season ranked fifth in ITA national poll...together he and teammate Costin Corneanu went 17-2 in the No. 1 doubles spot...the duo finished third in the ITA doubles rankings...earned All-FSC, first-team NAIA All-American, and ITA All-American honors.

Prep: 2004 graduate of Gimnasija Varazdin...was senior national champion in 2004 and was ranked No. 1 in the Croatian senior rankings...in Under-18s was No. 2 in Croatian Junior rankings and No. 6 in senior rankings...was a semifinalist in singles and finalist in doubles at the 2002 Senior National Championships...member of the Croatian Junior National Team in singles...played in the European Junior Championship (Klosters, Switzerland) and advanced to the final 16 out of a 128-player opening draw...also played for the Croatian National Under-16 team at the European Championship with the Mario Ancic who was a Top 20 player on the ATP tour and a member of the Croatian Davis Cup Team.
