Biography
2012-13: CROSS COUNTRY: Second team All-Conference selection as a sophomore…placed 12th overall at The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 3) in a time of 21:44.60…became the 16th-fastest Eagle in program history at the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 20), placing 24th overall in 19:31.67…finished fourth for the Blue and Gold at the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 17) in a time of 20:40…best overall finish of the year came at the Asics Embry-Riddle Classic (Sept. 22) when she placed 11th in 20:19.00. INDOOR: Competed in four meets during the winter, including a third-place showing in the 3000m at the Embry-Riddle Indoor/Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 20) with a time of 11:52.20...ran a 20:44.91 in the 5000m at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance (Feb. 16). OUTDOOR: Two-time All-Conference performer with a pair of third-place finishes at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 22) in the 10,000m (45:03.78) and 3000m Steeplechase (13:41.56)...vaulted a height of 1.83m in the pole vault at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic (Apr. 6).
2011-12: CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in six races as a freshman…finished third on the team and 52nd overall at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 24), racing to a time of 19:45.28…had a season-best mark of 19:32.34 at the USF Invitational (Sept. 9), placing her as the 13th-fastest runner in school history…ran a 21:17 at the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 19). INDOOR: Competed in the 3000m at both the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 11) and ERAU Last Chance (Feb. 18), finishing in 11:24.16 and 11:45.59, respectively. OUTDOOR: Member of the All-Conference roster with third-place finishes in the 10,000m (42:53.30) and 3000m Steeplechase (12:58.15) at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 23)…posted a season-best 19:56.82 in the 5000m at the USF Bulls Invitational (Mar. 16).
PREP: 2011 graduate of Whitefish High School…lettered in cross country for four years and lettered in track and field for four seasons under coach Bill Brist and the Bulldogs…led her team to four consecutive state and divisional cross country championships (2007-10)…individual divisional champion (2009)…named to the All-State cross country squad three times (2007-09)…four-time All-Conference award winner…team’s Most Valuable Runner (2009)…named her squad’s top newcomer (2007)…team captain in her senior year…All-State performer in track and field (2009)…three-time All-Conference harrier in cross country (2008-10)…named the team’s Outstanding Performer (2009) and Best Newcomer (2008).
PERSONAL: Daughter of Greg and Maraika Eaton…born on Oct. 2, 1992 in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii…majoring in Aerospace Engineering…served as a treasurer and president of the National Honor Society…volunteered at the Colonial Manor assisting the elderly…helped in multiple community races…was a student voice on a variety of community meetings, including the Futures Committee and the Handbook Committee.
