Biography
2011-12: CROSS COUNTRY: Named to the first team All-Conference roster for her seventh-place finish at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 5) in 20:34.27…ran in all eight meets for the Blue and Gold as a junior…career-best time came at the Southeast Classic (Oct. 22) in 19:44.68, putting her 15th all-time in ERAU program history’s fastest runners. INDOOR: NAIA All-American in both the 4x400m and 4x800m relay events…helped the 4x400m relay team finish seventh in 3:54.71 at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships (Mar. 3) before assisting the 4x800m relay squad to a fifth-place finish in 9:15.26…finished second in the 800m at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 18), running a 2:19.78 in the event. OUTDOOR: Claimed two more All-American accolades at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 26), placing seventh in the 800m with a career-best time of 2:13.26, as well as finishing third as part of the 4x800 relay squad that finished in 8:59.34…won the 800m at the BCU Beach Invitational (Apr. 14) in 2:22.26…three-time All-Conference performer as part of three relay teams, the 4x100m (51.82), 4x400m (4:12.44) and 4x800m (9:31.95)…finished fourth in a career-best 59.77 in the 400m at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 23).
2010-11: INDOOR: Competed in five meets during indoor season…placed second in the 600m (1:44.45) and the 4x400m relay (4:10.83) at the ERAU Indoor Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 22)…won three events at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 18): the 600m (1:38.13, “B” standard), 800m (2:21.21) and the 4x800m relay (9:34.68, “A” standard)…competed in the 600m, 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay at the NAIA Indoor National Championships (Mar. 3). OUTDOOR: Participated in nine meets…helped the 4x400m (4:09.42) and 4x800m (9:22.94) relay teams win at the ERAU Spikes Classic…placed fourth overall, first among NAIA runners in the 800m (2:16.16) at the FSU Relays (Mar. 23)…earned third place in the 800m (2:17.36) at the USF Collegiate Invitational (Apr. 1)…won gold in the 4x800m (9:38.97), silver in the 4x400m (4:02.82) and 1500m (4:50.96), and bronze in the 800m (2:20.68) at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 17)…scored two points at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 26) with a seventh-place finish in the 4x800m relay in a school-record time 9:07.88.
2009-10: CROSS COUNTRY: Turned in her fastest time of the year at the Southeastern Classic (Oct. 24) and the was the No. 9 Eagle finisher with a time of 21:35.79…placed 13th overall at the Knight Invitational (Sept. 26) and scored points for the Blue and Gold as the fifth Eagle in the pack, crossing the finish line in 23:03. INDOOR: Earned The Sun Conference’s Champion of Character Award…part of the women’s 4 x 800m relay team that set a school record at the NAIA National Championship (Mar. 4) in a time of 9:16.11…competed in five meets for ERAU…finished first in the 800m at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 19) in 2:23.93…placed fourth in both the 400m at the ERAU Dual meet (Feb. 27) at 1:03.55 and fourth at the ERAU Last Chance meet in the 600m (1:41.26). OUTDOOR: Finished third at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 18) in the 800m with a time of 2:21.18…placed eighth at TSC Championships in the 400m in 1:05.22…recorded a sixth place finish in the 800m at the ERAU Spikes Classic (Apr. 2) in 2:20.33.
2008-09: CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 25), finishing fourth among Eagle runners and ninth overall with a time of 23:21. INDOOR: Placed second in the 800m run at the ERAU Indoor/Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 31) with a time of 2:27.95…took fourth in the 1000m run with a time of 3:11.96 at the ERAU Indoor/Outdoor Challenge…competed in the 600m (1:40.97) and 1000m (3:11.17) runs at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 21), placing fourth and third, respectively…member of distance medley relay team that raced to a school record time of 12:16.59 at the NAIA Indoor Nationals (Mar. 5). OUTDOOR: Placed first in the 800m at the Riddle Run-Around (Apr. 5) with a time of 2:19.24…ran the 800m at The Sun Conference Championship placing third with a time of 2:25.68.
PREP: Graduated from Titusville High School in May of 2007…two-time letter winner in cross country and track…was the first cross country athlete to qualify for the Florida State Championships in 23 years at Titusville in her junior season…named to the 2006 All-Cape Coast Cross Country team…participated in the 2006 Florida State Team Cross Country Finals while serving as the team’s captain…served as the 2007 track team captain.
PERSONAL: Born in Orlando, Fla. on Apr. 10, 1989...the daughter of Donna and Robert Hyatt…majoring in Communication…volunteered with the Relay for Life organization…gave her time to participate in gift wrapping, Boo at the Zoo, Odyssey of the Mind judging and the Enchanted Forest.
