Junior outside hitter Paola Virella has been named Embry-Riddle Female Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18. For the week, Virella tallied a team-high 27 kills and hit .234 while collecting 23 digs, second-most on the team. Virella recorded her third double-double of the season with 13 kills and 14 digs to lead ERAU to a 3-1 win over Florida Tech on Tuesday, and followed that up with a 14-kill, 9-dig performance in a 3-1 road win at Rollins on Saturday.
