Sophie Brundin of the Embry-Riddle women's soccer team is this week's Tijuana Flats Female Athlete of the Week. The Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year helped the Eagles to their first-ever NCAA Tournament wins up in Cleveland, Tennessee. Brundin scored both goals in ERAU's win over Rollins on Friday, while also anchoring a back line that earned its eighth shutout of the year. And then Brundin was a force for the Eagle defense in their upset of host Lee to earn a trip to the Sweet Sixteen on Sunday. Brundin played all 180 minutes on the week and has played in 1,717 minutes of a possible 1,750 this year for the Blue and Gold. This is Brundin's first Athlete of the Week award of the year and the first of her career.
