Eagles Fall to NCAA Division II Florida Tech 3-0

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- NCAA Division II?Florida Tech?recorded their 4th victory of the year (4-18) defeating Embry-Riddle University 3-0 (30-26, 30-19, 30-26) in the Clemente Center?Wednesday evening.

Sue Delahanty (New Smyrna Beach, Fla.) tried to keep the Eagles (3-28)?in the match recording a team-high 11 kills and pulling to within 29 of the ERU career mark.? With two matches remaining against Savannah College of Art and Design and Stetson, Delahanty has her work cut out for her, but?still has a possibility of?matching or setting the mark.

Megan Konopnicki paced the Panthers with 12 kills and Jenny McCoy added 11 and hit .556 for the match.? Florida Tech's offense recorded a .273 team hitting percentage, compared to just .154 for the Eagles.? Panthers' libero Jenny Hart recorded 23 digs, despite playing just two games at the spot.
