The?Eagles (17-6)?ended with a?3-2 (30-16, 26-30, 30-23, 29-31, 15-9) victory against Northwood (Fla.), but fell against Webber International (Fla.) 3-2 (30-22, 27-30, 25-30, 30-27, 12-15) in the first match of the?day.a
Marinos recorded her seventh and eighth 20-plus kill efforts of the year with 24 in the loss to Webber International and 30 in the victory against Northwood.
The Eagles came out strong against Northwood hitting .500 as a team behind 13 Marinos kills?to post a 30-16 victory.? The two teams traded strong offensive games in the second as?Embry-Riddle hit just .111, while the Seahawks posted a .279 hitting percentage to win 30-26.
The teams flip-flopped attacks?once again in the third game with ERAU?winning 30-23?behind a .351 percentage and limited Northwood to a .116 attack.? Marinos?finished with?seven?kills in the game and

Northwood gained the?upperhand pffensively in the fourth posting a?.341?attack to prevail 31-29 over the?Eagles, who?recorded a .135 percentage.
Jenni?Nelsen (Titusville, Fla.) and
Mia Jaramillo (Manizales, Colombia) helped the Eagles close out the match 15-9 with three kills apiece and no errors, hitting .600 and .500, respectively.
Jaramillo finished the match with?nine kills with no errors and a .474 hitting percentage and Nelsen added eight kills for the match.
Marcia Bullara-Smith (Oak Hill, Fla.) recorded 22 digs to lead the Eagles defensively and
Nancy Salb added 16, while Marinos and Nelsen posted 11 digs apiece.
Against Webber International, Salb led the defense with 26 digs, while Gonzales and Marinos added 17 apiece.
After coming out strong against Webber in the first game winning 30-22, the Eagles lost the next two games 30-27 and 30-25 before recovering to force a fifth game with a 30-27 victory.?
In the fifth, Embry-Riddle jumped out to a 5-3 lead, but?Webber went on a 5-0 run to take an 8-5 advantage.? The teams traded points back-and-forth?tying the game three times.? Tied at 11-11, Webber's Chantelle Jordan recorded?consecutive kills to take a 13-11 lead and then after an Eagle attack error, the Warriors led 14-11.? Nelsen came back with the kill on the next play, but?ERAU committed another attack error to end the match 15-12.
