ERAU Volleyball Regroups With 3-0 Victory at Florida Memorial

OPA LOCKA, Fla. -- Freshman middle blocker Jenn Meglic recorded 11 kills and hit .435 for the match to help the Embry-Riddle volleyball team post a 3-0 victory (30-15, 30-24, 30-28) at Florida Memorial University Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles improved to 15-13 overall and 9-2 in the Florida Sun Conference, while Florida Memorial drops to 2-18 overall and 2-8 in the FSC.

Florida Memorial head coach Mae Sheriff has worked hard with her team and it showed today as the Lions were much improved from the first meeting which saw the Eagles win easily 30-6, 30-19, 30-10 in Daytona Beach on Sept. 15.  Today, the Lions nearly captured a game off the Blue and Gold falling by just six points in game two and two in game three.  FMU was paced by Alicia Morris who recorded 10 kills and hit .292 for the match.

April Ebanks and Savannah Trakes added nine kills apiece, while Jenni Nelse and Mia Jaramillo finished with seven kills apiece.  Rachel Ridder led the way with 13 digs defensively and Trakes added 12.  Marissa Gonzales finished with 33 assists.

Embry-Riddle continues the road show at Webber International on Tuesday, Oct. 24th at 7 p.m.
