Eagles Win in Three Quick Sets Against Redhawks

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Head Coach Joslynn Gallop led the Embry-Riddle Eagles volleyball team to their fourth win of the season on Saturday morning, as they picked up their third win at the Homewood Suites Invitational against the Martin Methodist Redhawks, 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-18).

Freshman standout, Abby Hall marked half of the team's kills with 13 on the day. Senior Marissa Gonzales, playing only the first two sets, picked up 17 assists in the match and tallied three service aces. Senior Jenni Nelsen added four service aces to her team leading total of 8. She is averaging two aces every three sets and is the only Eagle to have an ace in every match.

The Eagles defense shined once again, holding their opponents to a hitting percentage of .012 while digging up 33 attack attempts. Hannah Rasmussen led the team with seven digs.

The Blue and Gold will play their final game of the tournament at 6 p.m. Saturday evening against Baker (Kan.).
