AT A GLANCE
A NAIA Top 20 matchup awaits this week in Daytona Beach as the eighth-ranked Eagles host the 19th-ranked St. Thomas Bobcats on Saturday and Sunday. Embry-Riddle holds a two-game lead in the loss column over the second-place Bobcats in conference action, but the Eagles have two more series to play after this weekend while STU has just one series at home against Thomas left on its league slate.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Over the last few seasons, the Bobcats have challenged the Eagles for Sun Conference supremacy, finishing as the regualr season conference runner-up once, the conference tournament runner-up twice and becoming the first non-Embry-Riddle team to claim the conference tournament crown since the reintroduction of the tournament following the 2009 season.

No team in the 25 years of Embry-Riddle baseball has recorded more wins against the Eagles (39), and last season, the Bobcats took two of three games from the Blue and Gold down in Miami Gardens.

SCOUTING ST. THOMAS
The Bobcats have series sweeps over two conference foes, and have won all seven league series they have played. St. Thomas also has non-conference vistories over NCAA II Palm Beach Atlantic and suffered a close, 3-2 setback to Lewis-Clark State on Mar. 18 in Daytona Beach.

The Bobcats hit .281 as a team, led by Ozney Guillen's .418 clip from the plate. Guillen missed a chunk of the season due to an injury, but has come back for St. Thomas and will bring his 41 hits to Sliwa Stadium. Edwin Rolon leads the team with 45 hits amd 27 RBIs and catcher Giovanni Zayas has added 35 hits and 25 RBIs.

On the mound, the Bobcats have a team ERA of 3.76 with 307 strikeouts in 366.0 innings of work. Eddie Cody is the team's ace, boasting a 7-0 record with a 1.50 ERA in nine games. Ashley Bulluck is 3-0 with a 2.35 ERA to go along with a team-high six saves.

LAST GAMES: NCAA II No. 2 Spartans Walk-Off with 2-1 Win Over NAIA No. 8 Eagles (Apr. 9)
TAMPA, Fla. – In eight previous meetings, the winner of the Embry-Riddle vs.Tampa baseball matchup has scored at least five runs. That streak broke Tuesday night as the NCAA II No. 2 Spartans earned a walk-off victory, 2-1 over the visiting Eagles in the 10th inning. Embry-Riddle (32-11) stranded nine runners on the bases after scoring a run in the top of the first inning while the Spartans (29-6) scored once in the fifth and the final tally in the last of the 10th.

THE HUNT FOR A TRIP TO #DUNKCITY
The end is in sight for the nine Sun Conference teams still in contention for The Sun Conference Baseball Tournament held in Ft. Myers, Fla. Apr. 30 - May 4. St. Thomas has already clinched a spot in the six-team event, with the Eagles needing just one win to secure a place in the tournament.

QUARTER CENTURY OF EAGLE BASEBALL
The 2013 season marks the 25th edition of Eagle baseball and Embry-Riddle athletics overall. The basketball, baseball, men's tennis and men's golf programs began in the 1988-89 academic year and were the foundation the rest of the department was built upon.

Embry-Riddle is 959-410-1 in 25 seasons, capturing 13 conference regular season titles, four conference tournament titles, seven regional crowns, claiming 28 NAIA All-America honors, 35 Honorable Mention All-American honors and advancing to the NAIA World Series 11 times (T-4th most in NAIA history).
