THE EAGLESEmbry-Riddle has opened the 2014-15 season with a pair of blowout victories over Sterling and Florida College at the ICI Center. The Eagles are averaging 94.0 points and 55 percent shooting in their first two games, led by sophomore
Dalton Barnes and junior
Joseph Gonzalez with 16.0 points per contest each.
Cesar Pastrana is shootng 83 percent (10-for-12) for 14.0 pointe per game while ERAU is averaging 26.0 assists and 15 steals per contest.
ERAU's schedule will get considerable harder with the Daytona Mitsubishi Shootout as nationally-ranked Cincinnati Christian and Talladega come to town along with Briar Cliff. The Eagles travel to NCAA II Nova Southeastern on Nov. 25 before heading to Kentucky for a game against NCAA III Berea on Nov. 29.
THE BENGALSUMFK is 2-3 on the season, claiming victories over Mt. Allison University and St. Thomas (N.B.) before dropping three straight decisions to King's College, Dalhousie University and Lee Academy.
In their most recent game against Lee, forward Joe McCLockey led the Bengals with 18 points and 15 rebounds while Marquis Glenn added 13 points and nine board.
THE FALCONSFisher sports a 2-0 record with wins against Madonna (Mich.) and Albany College of Pharmacy. Tyler Shular paces the Falcons withy 17 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds, while Ira Haywood has 11 points per contest and Geodice Ortiz grabs eight boards per game.
The Falcons are shooting 41 percent with a +5.5 rebounding margin on the young season.
