LEBANON, Tenn. - Embry-Riddle couldn't overcome an early deficit as the Eagles (18-13) fell for the second straight game against Oklahoma Wesleyan (23-4) on Tuesday afternoon. Johnson delivered the first shutout inning in the top of the fourth, and the Blue and Gold broke through with a run in the last of the inning when Darryl Knight singled to right center to score Kyle Chastain from third. But OKWU got the run back in the fifth to go up 6-1.

Embry-Riddle chased Sam Haynes from the game in the sixth, stringing together four base hits to score two runs before CJ Gregory was called into the contest. Liam Goodall collected a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded to bring the Eagles within 6-4.

Johnson gave way to Ronnie Lozada in the seventh and OKWU scratched across a run to regain a three-run cushion at 7-4, and despite getting a runner on base via a walk, OKWU turned their fourth double play of the contest to end the game.

Cyr (0-2) got the loss in 2.1 innings, giving up just two hits, but surrendered five runs (three earned) with four walks. Chastain, Cavender and Knight all collected two hits with Knight recording a pair of RBIs in the loss.
