THE EAGLES
The sixth-ranked ERAU women's soccer team is making its first road trip of the 2014 season. The Eagles bring a 1-0 record into their match-ups against NAIA No. 5 Concordia (Calif.) and Embry-Riddle (Ariz.), listed among those teams receiving votes.
 
The Eagles earned their only win of the young season against fourth-ranked Northwood last Saturday. Second-half goals by freshman Annie Gelnaw and sophomore Isabelle Haaranen propelled the Blue and Gold to a 2-0 upset of the Seahawks.
 
CONCORDIA (CALIF.)
The Eagles of Concordia (Calif.) are coming off their best season in program history. The Eagles, ranked fifth in the preseason coaches' poll, advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Tournament before closing out the season at 18-1-3. 2013 Golden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Chris Gould is in his fifth season as the Eagles' Head Coach.
 
The Series
Embry-Riddle and Concordia (Calif.) last met in the 2011 edition of the Habitat for Humanity Invitational hosted by ERAU at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium. The contest on Sept. 9, 2011 saw Martine Olsen finish a Krizzy Menez cross in the 95^th minute to give ERAU a 2-1 overtime win. ERAU leads the series 1-0.
 
EMBRY-RIDDLE (ARIZ.)
The Eagles of Embry-Riddle's Prescott, Ariz. campus are in their seventh season under the guidance of Head Coach Todd Poitras. They bring a 1-0 record into Sunday's game courtesy of a 4-0 win over Arizona Christian on Tuesday. The Eagles had a balanced scoring effort with goals from Amanda Bennett, Estelie Fortes, Kalynn Huebner and Kalyn Goodenough.
 
Last season, ERAU-Prescott tied their program record for single-season wins with a 13-6-1 overall record. The Eagles advanced to the championship match of the CAL PAC conference tournament where they fell to William Jessup 3-0.
 
The Series
The teams from Embry-Riddle's Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses have faced each other once before. That meeting came on Aug. 20, 2011 where the host Daytona Beach Eagles earned a 5-0 win thanks to two goals each by Cecilie Henrikssen and Martine Olsen.

TOP-10 RANKING
The NAIA released the 2014 Women's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll on Tuesday, and the Eagles found themselves once again in the top 10, checking in at No. 6 for the second straight year.

Once again, Bohon has put together one of the best schedules in the country for the Eagles in 2014. The Blue and Gold's challenging slate features five nationally ranked foes, including No. 3 Lindsey Wilson, No. 4 Northwood, No. 5 Concordia (Calif.), No. 9 William Carey and No. 11 St. Thomas, as well as Mobile and Embry-Riddle (Ariz.), both of which were among the teams receiving votes.
