SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team maintained its dominance against Sun Conference teams at home with a 75-56 defeat of Northwood at the ICI Center on Wednesday. Sabrina Whiting led the Eagles with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Mercedes Jorge posted her seventh double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 boards. Taylor Cyphers tallied 12 points and nine rebounds and Kalah Martin chipped in 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting.
 
Lisa Nuxol-Wilson's team is now 13-6 overall and 5-4 in league play, and is averaging 67.3 points per game. The Eagles have three players averaging 11+ points per game, including Whiting (11.8), Jorge (11.7) and Martin (11.5). Jorge is also the Eagles' rebounding leader (8.1 rpg), while Martin and Whiting are tied for the team lead in assists with 2.9 assists each per contest. Taylor Cyphers is the team leader in blocks and ranks among the nation's top 20 in blocks per game (15th, 2.1) and total blocks (18th, 40).
 
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Last season Gregory Stanback's team finished a 1-22 overall. This season, the Lions have improved on that record and come into Saturday's contest with a 7-14 overall record. On Thursday, Diamond Colebrook and Ashley O'Neal each tallied 13 points, but it wasn't enough for FMU to get by Thomas as the Night Hawks won 71-66 to move the Lions' Sun Conference record to 4-6.

Nicole Collins is pacing the Lion offense with 13.2 points per contest for a Florida Memorial team that is average 65.8 points this season. Abreona Cabell, who ranks 19th nationally in defensive rebounds per game (6.4) leads FMU in total rebounds (8.9 rpg), assists (1.9 apg), steals (2.3 spg) and blocks (.65 bpg).
