SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team stumbled in its last game, falling 83-68 at Florida Memorial on Saturday evening. Taylor Cyphers was 6-of-9 from the field, finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Blue and Gold. Ashley McWilliams and Sabrina Whiting added 11 points apiece, while Kalah Martin contributed 10 points and seven assists.
 
Lisa Nuxol-Wilson's team is now 13-7 overall and 5-5 in league play, and is averaging 67.4 points per game. The Eagles have three players averaging 11+ points per game, including Whiting (11.8), Jorge (11.7) and Martin (11.4). Jorge is also the Eagles' rebounding leader (8.1 rpg), while Martin leads the team lead in assists with 3.2 per contest. Taylor Cyphers is the team leader in blocks and ranks among the nation's top 20 in blocks per game (15th, 2.1) and total blocks (19th, 41).
 
SCOUTING THE GYRENES
Last season, Ave Maria won The Sun Conference tournament and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament. This year, the Gyrenes are just one game over .500 overall at 12-11 and are in ninth place in the league table at 3-8. AMU did defeat Webber International in its last game, picking up an 81-65 win on Saturday night. Annie Artise led the Gyrenes with 25 points and 14 rebounds while Laren Gillingham added 16 points and 12 boards in the victory.

Madison McDonald is pacing the Gyrene offense with 15.9 points per contest and 3.4 assists per outing for an Ave Maria team that is average 69.8 points this season. Artise is averagine 14.7 points per game and leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per contest and 15 blocks.
