EMBRY-RIDDLE
Embry-Riddle, which jumped up two spots in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll to 17th on Tuesday, will look to continue its winning ways this weekend as it travels to Miami Gardens for a three-game Sun Conference series against the Florida Memorial Lions. The Eagles are second in the league standings at 14-6, a game in front of St. Thomas, and will look to secure a spot in the upcoming Sun Conference Tournament.

The Eagles are hitting .298 on the season with 394 base hits, including 90 extra-base knocks. Liam Goodall (.386) and Enderson Velasquez (.382) lead the way in the three and four holes, while the ERAU leadoff hitter, Tobias Moreno is hitting .340 with a team-high 35 runs scored in 35 games. Joshua Garcia and Matt Jacobs have combined for 68 RBIs.

The Blue and Gold pitching staff has posted a 3.31 ERA in 332.0 innings with 310 strikeouts. The weekend starting trio of Stetson Nelson (2.14 ERA, 71.1 IP, 59 Ks), Tyler Cyr (2.78 ERA, 58.1 IP, 69 Ks) and Corey Tufts (4.85 ERA, 55.2 IP, 62 Ks) have been solid for the Eagles while relievers Clayton Wagner (3.46 ERA, 52.0 IP, 33 Ks) and Zac Grotz (0.84 ERA, 42.2 IP, 47 Ks) have combined for an 11-2 record.

FLORIDA MEMORIAL
At 7-36 overall and 2-18 in conference play, the Lions have struggled in 2015, having dropped 17 consecutive games since a 5-4 win over Ave Maria on March 13. FMU is hitting .261 as a team with 282 strikeouts and a .343 on-base percentage. Brian Gonzalez leads the way for the Lions at .328 with 40 hits and 21 RBIs. Gianfranco Garlobo has scored 22 runs and is 22-for-24 on the bases.
