DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team had little trouble in a 21-5 win over visiting Barton on Wednesday evening. Embry-Riddle increased its cushion to 15-2 on a
Mya Watson score with five minutes to play in the opening period, and Greenberg provided a highlight goal with 46 seconds left as she went behind her head to beat the Barton keeper off a
Kendall Leonard pass, making it 16-2 Eagles at the break.
With a running clock in the second half, the Eagles were much more particular with their shot selection, getting two quick goals from Jackson following a BC score to open the second period.
Hannah Frund's first goal of the year at the 17:25 mark made it 19-3, and
Erin Bryenton tallied two Eagle scores to account for the final two ERAU goals of the contest as the Blue and Gold slowed it down and did not attempt a shot in the final 10 minutes.
Jackson led the way with six goals and three assists, while Watson finished with five scores and a game-high four helpers. Greenberg (4) and Bryenton (3) each scored multiple goals, while Leonard, Frund and
Carson Toney each contributed a goal to the Eagle cause.
Skylar Mossop (1-1) got the win, playing the first 30 minutes of the game, while
