DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Fresh off the heels of a thrilling overtime victory on Tuesday night, the Embry-Riddle men's lacrosse team kept its momentum going by defeating Emmanuel 10-5 on Wednesday night. The Eagles improve to 6-2 on the year, while the Lions fall to 1-4.

Mark Urso won 15 of the 17 faceoffs he took and led all players with nine ground balls. Lucas Fraser made three saves in goal, improving to 6-2 on the season.

After the Lions got the game's first goal, Jacobs finally got ERAU on the board with a goal with 3:21 left in the first quarter. Gavin Madden put the Eagles ahead with a literal last-second goal, giving Embry-Riddle a 2-1 lead.

Cody and Dalrymple netted goals less than a minute apart midway through the second and Jacobs added a man-up goal in the final minute of the quarter to push the Eagle lead to 5-1 at the break.

Kane got the first goal of the second half before Emmanuel came back to score two straight, cutting the lead to 6-3. Jacob Schripsema got a man-up goal and Dalrymple scored his second of the game late in the third quarter, putting the Blue and Gold ahead 8-3 heading to the final period.

Jacobs scored the first goal of the fourth and later tallied the final goal of the game, with two Lion goals sandwiched in between, accounting for the 10-5 final score.
