Jesus Clinic Recognized by Community Impact Program

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Athletics and AdventHealth have partnered to give back to the Daytona Beach Community through the Community Impact Program. Throughout the 2021-22 season six local non-profits will be recognized for their above-and-beyond commitment to serving others at Embry-Riddle basketball games.

At Wednesday's men's basketball game, AdventHealth presented a check for $1,000 to the Jesus Clinic. The mission of the Jesus Clinic is to serve Jesus in the Volusia County community by providing free health care for families and individuals with jobs and without medical insurance.
The Jesus Clinic is a full-service family practice clinic that serves working families and individuals in East Volusia County that have no insurance and fall at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Open four evenings per week by appointment, the Jesus Clinic is staffed by more than 100 volunteer medical and support staff. The clinic is funded totally by local churches and individuals. Their services include physical exams, pap smears, EKG's, pulmonary function tests, ultrasounds, labs, X-Rays, eye exams, minor surgery, podiatry and chiropractic services.

The primary goal of the Embry-Riddle/AdventHealth Community impact program is to support and bring awareness to the work being done by various groups and organizations who are making an impact throughout Volusia County.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Embry-Riddle Athletics," Deborah McNabb, AdventHealth Central Florida Division – North Region Director I Community Benefit said. "As part of our partnership, we will honor six community partners that work toward improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and families in the community."
