DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle Riddle women's tennis team earned wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles, but the Eagles were unable to secure the additional wins they needed to get past No. 20 Florida Southern on Tuesday. The Eagles fell to the Moccasins 6-1 in Sunshine State Conference action to move to 2-4 on the year. Florida Southern is 4-0.
The doubles point went to the Moccasins who earned wins at the first and third doubles positions to take a 1-0 lead into singles.

Alexis Marshall teamed up to win the contest at No. 2 doubles, besting Minnie Kim and Laura Vetter 6-2.
The Moccasins extended their lead to 3-0 courtesy of Flor Salerno's 6-1, 6-2 win over Mautner on court five and Kim's 6-1, 6-4 win over Blanco on court one.
The Eagles got a point back when Ehrenfort downed Sidor 6-2, 6-4. Ehrenfort's win made the team score 3-1 with three matches remaining on the court, but Vetter was able to secure the deciding point when she held off Krvajica 7-5, 6-2 at the second position.
The Eagles' next match is at 12 p.m. on Saturday when they host Tampa at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
