ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle women's golf team closed out the fall season strong by shooting the fourth-lowest 36-hole score in program history at the Flagler Fall Slam. The Eagles needed just 605 (298-307) strokes to complete two rounds, tying for fourth with last year's junior college runner up Daytona State (303-302) and No. 16 Wingate (302-303). ERAU also bested RV Eckerd (308-317=625). It was the Blue and Gold's best finish at the event since 2009 and the program's best score in the history of the competition. All 14 teams and 78 individuals competed at the par-72, 6,062-yard course at the Marsh Creek Country Club.

Loa Johannsson used a 147 (71-76), which tied for the seventh lowest two-round score in program history, to receive her first collegiate top-5 finish. It was a seven-stroke improvement over last year's performance.

Millie Lawson picked up her second top-20 showing (T-19) of the year and the fifth of her ERAU career. The grad student fired a 152 (75-77) and notched back-to-back birdies on holes 16 and 17.

Mackenzie McCormack achieved a season-best placement as the St. John's, Florida native tied for 26th with a 154 (76-78).

In her final collegiate tournament, Marybeth McGuire (76-83=159) earned her best result of the year, tying for 36th. This event capped off a five-year career for McGuire. In her time at Embry-Riddle, she competed in 60 rounds and accumulated one top-5, one top-10, and two top-20 finishes.

Jasmine Yang (85-76=161) matched her best round of the year on Tuesday with a 76, which was a nine-shot improvement from Monday's score.

Both Reni Jancsik (82-77=159) and Savannah Hawthorne (85-96=181) competed as individuals. For Jancsik, it was her first tournament of the season while it was Hawthorne's first event as an Eagle.

Flagler (297-288=585) won by six strokes over defending junior college champion Seminole State (290-301=591) while No. 3 Nova Southeastern (299-299=598) came third, just seven shots ahead of Embry-Riddle.

Seminole State's Tabitha Hanely held on to the top spot with a 140 (69-71) stroke total for the individual title.

Embry-Riddle is off until the Flagler Spring Fling from Feb. 5-6 in St. Augustine, Fla. at the World Golf Village.
