2023 Embry-Riddle Men's Soccer Schedule

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's soccer head coach David Gregson is preparing to celebrate three decades at the helm of the program with the 2023 season right around the corner. Gregson announced his team's upcoming slate on Wednesday, which includes seven matches at home and eight on the road for a total of 15 contests. Nearly every opponent on this year's slate was featured last season, with the lone exception being Spring Hill, who the Eagles last faced in 2016.

Embry-Riddle hits the road early and often as three of the first four matches are away from home. The season begins in St. Augustine as the Eagles travel to play rival Flagler on Sept. 5. The two programs were scheduled to face off in 2022, but severe weather forced the cancellation of that fixture.

The gates to the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium will open for the first time in 2023 on Sept. 8 when the Blue and Gold host Spring Hill.

Sunshine State Conference play commences the following week at Eckerd (Sept. 16). ERAU has found much success recently against the Tritons, posting a 1-0-2 mark in the previous three meetings.

After last year's 1-0 win over Georgia Southwestern State, the Eagles will look to build a winning streak against the Hurricanes in Americus, Georgia on Sept. 20.

Four consecutive conference contests follow with matches versus defending SSC champion Barry (Sept. 23), Rollins (Sept. 27), 2022 SSC Tournament winner Florida Tech (Oct. 4) and Tampa (Oct. 7).

For the third straight year, Embry-Riddle and Stetson go head-to-head on Oct. 11.

SSC action resumes with home matches versus Nova Southeastern (Oct. 14) and Florida Southern (Oct. 18). Last season, Noah Sims found an equalizer with 36 seconds remaining to help the Eagles escape with a point against the Mocs.

ERAU then travels to Saint Leo on Oct. 21. Embry-Riddle has won the last two road contests against the Lions. A non-conference rematch with the Tars is on the docket on Oct. 24, though this time it's in Daytona Beach. Then a meeting at Lynn on Oct. 28 leads up to the regular-season finale at home on Nov. 2 against Palm Beach Atlantic.

The top six teams in the conference standings then advance to the SSC Tournament which begins on Nov. 6.

Last season, the Eagles posted a record of 2-10-3 alongside a 0-8-2 mark in league play. Embry-Riddle welcomes back its top-two strikers in Sandro Henning (five goals) and Eden Bokobza (four goals) as well as goalkeeper Thomas Loesel, who recorded the second-most saves per game (4.4) in the conference. Though 18 players return, Gregson added 12 newcomers to the squad, including transfers from UNC Greensboro, Sterling, Florida Memorial, and Campbellsville.
