DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's tennis team wrapped play in the two-day ERAU Open at the Crotty Tennis Complex on Sunday.
Playing against multiple opponents from Flagler,
Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo headlined the Eagles' performances with 2-0 records in both singles and doubles. On the first day, she bested Anika Nissen (playing unattached) 5-7, 7-5, 10-6 and teamed up with
Kaylee Kirivong for an 8-1 defeat of Charlotta Buss and Eryka Kruk.
Sunday's play featured a 6-3, 6-0 Wira Hadipoernomo win over Laura Jipescu and the Wira Hadipoernomo/Kirivong partnership yielded an 8-6 win over JIpescu and Nissen in the final match of the tournament.
A small contingent will represent Embry-Riddle at the ITA/NCAA II South Regionals, Sept. 22-25 at Florida Southern's Wynee Warden Complex in Lakeland.
