ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Embry-Riddle women's golf enjoyed another trip up the leaderboard to finish out the Flagler Fall Slam on Tuesday. The Eagles entered the day eighth and came out into a tie for sixth with a 624 stroke total after firing a 309 in the second round.

"Really good lean-in by our team today," said Head Coach Maria Lopez. "There were lots of back-nine comebacks to help us jump up the leaderboard. We're definitely building confidence and momentum."

The 13-team field included some of the top programs at the NCAA II and NJCAA levels. Two top-25 teams in the NCAA II (No. 5 Flagler and No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic) and three top-5 NJCAA programs (No. 1 Daytona State, No. 4 Eastern Florida State, and No. 5 Seminole State) were in the tournament, based on the latest Clippd rankings. Both rounds were held at the par-72, 6,062-yard Marsh Creek Country Club.

Loa Johannsson (77-76) grabbed her second-straight top-20 result (T-18th) to begin the season. She played consistently, tallying a team-best 13 pars along with two birdies on Tuesday.

Savannah Hawthorne (80-75) and Alexandra Drum (79-76) were both right outside the top-20. For Hawthorne, her 155 stroke total was a 36-hole career best. Drum matched Johannsson for the lowest round on the day, which was also a season best. The freshman led in birdies with three and closed her round strong by going two below par over the final seven holes.

All three notably finished above the 14th-ranked player in the NCAA II in Riley Hamilton of PBA.

Eden Tsouklaris (79-82=161) finished just one shot ahead of Jasmine Yang (80-82=162), who ended the day with three consecutive pars.

Stevie Albright (79-81) posted a 161 as an individual, firing three birdies on her back nine. Competing in her first tournament of the season, also as an individual, Mackenzie McCormack (87-89) ended her outing with 176 shots.

Host Flagler (578) won by 23 strokes over Daytona State (601). Seminole State and Palm Beach Atlantic (603) tied for third.

A 68 on Tuesday propelled the Saints' Jordyn Hodgson (140) to an individual title.

Just one tournament remains on Embry-Riddle's fall slate. Rollins' Legends Invitational is scheduled for Nov. 3 and 4 at the ChampionsGate Country Club in ChampionsGate, Florida.
