LAKELAND, Fla. - A 629 (316-313=629) has Embry-Riddle women's golf in 14th after day one of the Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern, just three shots back of Palm Beach Atlantic. Six teams were unable to complete the second round due to darkness.

As usual, it's another stacked field including five top-10 teams (No. 1 Nova Southeastern, No. 2 Rollins, No. 7 Anderson, No. 8 Flagler, and No. 10 Lynn) and eleven ranked inside the top 30 (No. 13 Saint Leo, No. 20 Limestone, No. 22 North Georgia, No. 23 Tampa, No. 27 Florida Southern, and No. 29 Eckerd). The tournament is held at the par-72, 6,105-yard course at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club.

With back-to-back 78s, Mackenzie McCormack (156) was the top Eagle after two rounds. She found success on par-5s, shooting one under par on such holes on the day, which was tied for ninth best in the field. The St. Johns, Florida native began and ended her day strong with six-straight holes parred to start round one and then notched an eagle on her 17th hole in round two.

The Eagle with the most birdies over 36 holes is Loa Johannsson (78-79-157) with two in each round. Five consecutive pars to end round one helped her tie for the lowest score by an Eagle in a round on the day.

Millie Lawson (80-78=158) saw a two-stroke improvement between the first and second rounds. She recorded two of the team's five birdies in round two.

Jasmine Yang (80-80=160) was consistent on Monday, recording 23 total pars, tied for the 14th most out of 98 individuals. Eleven of those came over the final 13 holes of round one. Like McCormack, Yang thrived on par-5s, also going one under par.

Reni Jancsik (83-78=161) saw her second best round of the season come in round two.

Stevie Albright (82-86=168) also traveled with the team and competed as an individual.

Nova Southeastern (291) still has one golfer left to complete the second round. The Sharks sit at 12 over par ahead of Flagler (294-300=594) and Tampa (303-294=597) in second and third.

NSU's Hannah Mitterberger (70) has one hole left in the second round. She's the top individual by one stroke over Tampa's Ana Maria Jimenez Rios (74-69=143).

The tournament concludes with the resumption of round two followed by the third and final round on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
